Prepare To Jump
Anniversary Fan Club Convention is go!
5 October, 2018
We usually have to wait two years between Dimension Jump conventions - partly because it takes that long to organise them, and partly because it takes that long to recover from them. But there was no way that the Official Red Dwarf Fan Club were going to let 2018 pass without an event, despite having done one in 2017 - after all, there's been another series broadcast since then, and what's more, it's Red Dwarf's thirtieth anniversary year. Of course we all have to get together in a hotel and spend the weekend geeking out and carousing in equal measure.
And so a mere eighteen months since the last time around, we're doing it all over again this weekend at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Nottingham. Around four hundred eager fans will gather to enjoy each others' company as well as fun, games, autographs, photographs and Q&As with an astonishingly good guest list that includes Doug Naylor, Craig Charles, Chris Barrie, Robert Llewellyn, Norman Lovett, Hattie Hayridge, Chloë Annett, Tony Slattery, Mac McDonald and more.
If you're not joining us for the weekend, though, never fear - you can keep up to date with all the latest happenings over on our Twitter feed, where we'll do our best to bring you live details from the Q&As as well as an ongoing photographic record of the event. You can also keep up with everyone else's posts over the weekend by checking out the official #DJXX hashtag, and of course we'll have our usual writeup published when we've suitably recovered.
If you are coming along, then we hope you have an absolutely fantastic extended weekend celebrating thirty years of Red Dwarf - and if you spot us, do come and say hello!
