Alarming message from the future includes RDX hint.
15 June, 2012
Eagle-eyed viewers of a certain digital channel - a certain digital channel due to show a new series of some sci-fi programme or other later this year - may have recently noticed a series of cryptic messages appearing on broadcasts and online. But what have they got to do with Red Dwarf?
In a video posted on Dave's website, a mysterious man - claiming to be a time-traveller from the future - sets about frantically warning the residents of 2012 of a forthcoming "Dave-apocalypse", in which the humble comedy channel will supposedly "become self-aware" and take over the planet. Dave have dismissed the video as "a fraud" - but then, they would say that, wouldn't they?
This bizarre individual has even set up a website, doomsdave.co.uk, in which he's gathered evidence of the actions that he claims will cause the impending catastrophe. And there's one section of the page that we couldn't help but be drawn to:
The initials "RD". The year "2012". Splashes of a familiar-looking shade of red paint. What could it all mean? Either our favourite mining ship crew are somehow implicated in a planet-shattering catastrophe... or someone's running a clever viral marketing campaign. Obviously we suspect the former, but to find out more we can only suggest keeping a close eye on the website in the weeks and months to come. We're strangely excited...
