Shooting Starts!
New Red Dwarf in front of the cameras.
16 December, 2011
Shares in latex have gone through the roof. A warehouse-sized curry order is on the way. The false fangs are polished to gleaming. And Dwarfers the world over try not to explode with excitement. It's time.

While pre-recorded sequences started filming earlier this week, the big day is of course Friday 16th December - when the first episode of Red Dwarf X will be shot, classic-style, in front of a live audience at Shepperton Studios. A further recording takes place a week later on 23rd December, then after the Christmas break we pick up again on 7th, 13th, 20th and 27th January.
That lucky audience of ticket-holding fans have, of course, been requested not to reveal plot information online or take any photographs - so those of you hoping for any spoilers will, we hope, just have to hold out until the episodes are broadcast on Dave next year. But in the meantime, we'll have all kinds of exciting teasers and information, drip-fed to you in such a way as to carefully build your expectations up to fever pitch. Because we're like that.
It's here. It's real. It's happening. Red Dwarf X. The universe will never be the same...
